|Dr Harry Ziman (Member, Chair Cheshire Academies Trust and Governor Kelsall Primary School)
Dr Harry Ziman is one of the country’s leading school governors and has been designated as a National Leader of Governance. He has substantial school improvement experience, having successfully chaired IEBs at several schools in Special Measures. The scope of his work includes maintained schools, church schools and conversion to stand alone and sponsored academies.
As an NLG, Harry often provides support to chairs of governors and governing bodies on a wide range of topics and he is able to carry out Governance Reviews which now feature in recommendations from Ofsted inspections. He also delivers training to governing bodies.
At a national level, he was a Director of the National Governors Association and the Independent Academies Association. He is regularly asked to speak at the Academies Show and has presented at the National College for School Leadership’s conference. He has represented governors in discussions with parliamentarians. Locally, he is Vice Chair of the Cheshire West and Chester Association of Governing Bodies and is a member of the Schools Forum. He is known throughout the borough for his passion and commitment to the role of governors in schools and demonstrates by example the essential role that governors play in strategic school leadership and improving standards. His opinions are widely sought after by the Local Authority, governors and Headteachers.
|Mrs Alison Brennan (Co-opted Director of Cheshire Academies Trust)
Alison is a partner in the corporate team of DTM Legal LLP, a commercial law firm with offices in Chester and Liverpool. Recommended in the last 5 editions of the Legal 500 and noted as being a “first class lawyer with strong commercial acumen”, Alison has more than 15 years’ experience advising businesses of all shapes and sizes and enjoys helping her clients to put in place and maintain a structure and legal framework to promote success and growth in a way that works for them. Her clients include a number of charities and not for profit organisations and Alison is also DTM Legal LLP’s Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (“COLP”) responsible for ensuring that the firm complies with its regulatory obligations. Alison has two children at Boughton Heath Academy.
|Mr Jon Moorhouse (Member, Co-opted Director of Cheshire Academies Trust, Governor Kelsall Primary School)
Jon is a Practicing Architect, Researcher and Senior Lecturer with substantial design experience including strategic briefing for higher education buildings. Jon is a CAT Director has also acted as a Governor at Kelsall Primary School for 5 years, during which time he has chaired the Premises Committee and coordinated successful expansion projects. He has wider community experience in terms of local engagement, neighbourhood planning, design diplomacy and rural and urban design. He has a strong commitment to sustainability at both the environmental and econonmic level.
|Mr Martin Huber (Co-opted Director of Cheshire Academies Trust)
Martin was appointed to the role of Director in January 2017 following a 34 year career in banking. A strong background in risk management, Martin has undertaken a number of senior leadership roles and has extensive experience of business turnaround, restructuring and delivering change. He is currently a Subject Matter Expert with the Chartered Banker.
His wider community experience includes a commitment to and a recognition of, the value of local sport, particularly to children. Martin is a keen supporter, past treasurer and current first team manager of Chester Boughton Hall C.C. and presently sits on the Executive Committee at Chester Rugby Club with responsibility for Projects

Janet Myers (Co-Opted Director of Cheshire Academies Trust and Chair of Governors at Boughton Heath Academy)
Janet joined the Trust Board in May 2018, having been a governor at schools in Chester since December 2009.
Janet is Chair of Cheshire West Governance Association and a consultant trainer with the National Governance Association.
